ABOUT

DOCUMENTARY
AS A PRACTICE.

What is Documentary Gym?

Documentary Gym is a social health initiative that uses documentary filmmaking as a practice for developing observation, listening, empathy and storytelling.

Documentary Gym is grounded in the belief that documentary is not simply something we make, but something we practice — a way of observing, listening and engaging with the world.

By turning documentary practice into a participatory training experience, the project moves beyond filmmaking as content creation and explores its potential as a tool for connection, learning and collective expression — generating social value, strengthening communities and supporting social health.

OBSERVE

Pay attention to places, people and details.

CONNECT

CREATE

Turn encounters into shared stories.
